pdfAbout Our Institution: Federation EIL – Collective Histories – On the Occasion of the 80th Anniversary of our Founding This publication represents a first attempt to document and present the history, development, and impact of Federation EIL over eight decades.  Articles were solicited of Federation EIL members to tell their own story, expressed in both English, and in some cases, in their own language.  For those members who have not yet submitted their history, a brief summary page is included.   Members now have an opprotunity to compare and contrast the narratives included here.  We hope this will serve as inspiration to expand and update the history for a future edition, thereby telling the full collective story of our worldwide network.

Exploring and Assessing Intercultural Competence

The Federation of The Experiment in International Living (FEIL) completed its first international research effort – a one and a half year project designed to explore and assess the impact of intercultural experiences provided through service projects. The project was made possible through a funding grant obtained from the Center for Social Development of the Global Service Institute at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
