Over 300 teenagers from 10 countries around the world gather for 13 days at Mersea Island in the UK during the summer to broaden their horizons, develop confidence and enhance self-esteem. High School Study Abroad in Germany, France, Canada, UK, USA or New Zealand: The need for a global citizenship education is steadily growing. Students are sent annually to attend high school abroad.
Individual participation: Korean teenagers travel to workcamps in France for 2~3 weeks during the summer. During this time, teenagers from around the world come together as volunteers working on: reconstruction, environmental protection, and cultural preservation.
Group participation: Each of the groups will participate in various projects under the theme of children and environment. The aim is to develop the perspective of Korean youths, to create a better understanding of the global society, and ultimately, to share and contribute as global citizens. Groups are led by coordinators who support participants not only with a pre-departure orientation but also along with the national office coordinators in the onsite projects as well.
YES Center offers tailor-made programs to cater to the needs of universities and organizations and youth groups through a wide variety of options ranging from study visit to corporations, museums to temple stays, community service activities and many more.
Global Academy: Global Academy Program primarily focuses on preparing Korean high school students for their study-abroad experiences in Germany, the United States, England, or France. Over the course of six weeks, participants will take part in a variety of workshops, cultural immersion activities, and research assignments.
Global Leaders’ Action: Providing Korean youths opportunities to participate in international exchange programs through participation in workshops and trainings coordinated by YES Center.
