Global Leaders Unite in New York to Shape the Future of International Education
In a time of increasing global uncertainty, the need for strong collaboration in international education has never been more urgent. Organizations dedicated to fostering intercultural understanding and empowering young people must work together, not in isolation, to create meaningful, lasting impact.
That shared belief brought Federation EIL and AFS Intercultural Programs together this week in New York City. Rooted in a longstanding commitment to peacebuilding, cultural exchange, and global citizenship, the gathering marked an important step forward in strengthening partnerships across the non-profit international education sector.
More than just a meeting, this was a moment of alignment, an opportunity to deepen dialogue, exchange perspectives, and explore innovative ways to collaborate. As the world continues to evolve, so too must the strategies that support young people in becoming informed, engaged global citizens. By working together, these organizations are reaffirming their shared mission while expanding opportunities for future generations.
A special thank you goes to Daniel Obst, Andreza Martins, Eduardo Assed, and Efrem Fisher for welcoming the delegation to the AFS International offices and for fostering such an open, constructive, and forward-looking discussion. It is through conversations like these that established organizations continue to innovate, adapt, and find new ways to work together effectively.
